Steps for verification. First, import my key from the MIT keyserver.

$ gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0x9E76D5EAE47E1030
$ gpg --fingerprint loadzero.dev@gmail.com

pub   4096R/E47E1030 2015-02-17
      Key fingerprint = 0C62 87E2 26BB 2FA2 C042  C1BF 9E76 D5EA E47E 1030
uid                  Jason McSweeney <loadzero.dev@gmail.com>
sub   4096R/41001301 2015-02-17

Check the imported key against my website:

$ curl -s http://blog.loadzero.com/pgp.txt | gpg --with-fingerprint
pub  4096R/E47E1030 2015-02-17 Jason McSweeney <loadzero.dev@gmail.com>
      Key fingerprint = 0C62 87E2 26BB 2FA2 C042  C1BF 9E76 D5EA E47E 1030
sub  4096R/41001301 2015-02-17

$ gpg --fingerprint "0C62 87E2 26BB 2FA2 C042  C1BF 9E76 D5EA E47E 1030"
pub   4096R/E47E1030 2015-02-17
      Key fingerprint = 0C62 87E2 26BB 2FA2 C042  C1BF 9E76 D5EA E47E 1030
uid                  Jason McSweeney <loadzero.dev@gmail.com>
sub   4096R/41001301 2015-02-17

To verify the message:

$ curl -s http://blog.loadzero.com/verify.txt | gpg --verify

gpg: Signature made Tue 17 Mar 19:10:52 2015 AEDT using RSA key ID E47E1030
gpg: Good signature from "Jason McSweeney <loadzero.dev@gmail.com>"

You will probably see this warning:

gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
Primary key fingerprint: 0C62 87E2 26BB 2FA2 C042  C1BF 9E76 D5EA E47E 1030

This warning is because you haven't signed the key and neither has anyone else that you trust. More about trusting keys here and here.
